Luckenbooth brooches originated in 16th century Edinburgh. They were given as love tokens or lucky charms for warding off witches, and sold in the locked – or ‘lucken’- booths near St Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile.

Unique!!

A lot of Lockenbooth designs are similar but this piece is quite unique, it has a timeless simplicity. My dad bought me this in gold 30 years ago and I got my daughter the same in silver. You won’t find this design anywhere other than Ola Gorie x
