Stunning

This necklace is beautiful. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. I was given this as a 60th birthday present at it is much admired.

Rackwick Bay is carved out of the red sandstone cliffs of Hoy. Facing southwest into the rushing Pentland Firth, powerful ocean currents sweep massive boulders into its embrace. Rolled and tumbled by centuries of movement, the stones are smooth and rounded, merging at the south end into a pink sandstone beach beneath the towering headland.

At low tide birds make their marks across the sand. Out in the bay, gannets plunge into the waves. A curious seal watches us watching it. And as the tide creeps in, rockpools fill and currents swirl through the Rackwick stones.

Night falls. The tide is at its highest. Stars shine in the dark pools of Rackwick.
